What Is Plastic? Plastic is a type of synthetic or man-made polymer; similar in many ways to natural resins found in trees and other plants. It constitutes a large portion of the material we process, as it's found in so many products. Almost all liquid products are packaged in plastic containers, as well as most packages and bags.
