Rockin’ It Out for Charity

This past weekend, our General Manager Jamie Kaminski rocked it out at the Christmas Climbing Marathon and Fundraiser, climbing 60 routes or 2,700 feet. Put on by the Vancouver Rock Climbing Group and Cliffhanger Coquitlam, proceeds from the event go towards Habitat for Humanity of Greater Vancouver, whose mission is to mobilize volunteers and community partners in building affordable housing and break the cycle of poverty.

So far the climbers have raised $1320, almost halfway to their $3,000 goal.

Not ones to give up easily, they’ve set another marathon for December 8th at 6pm. If you’re interested in joining, here’s how it works:

1. You set a climbing goal

2.  Ask your friends to sponsor you

3. Track your donations

See, simple! Admissions for climbers are waived if they raise $30 or more.

Hanging for your life not really your thing? You can still contribute to the cause without worrying about your footing. Donate any amount securely online by going to www.vrcg.ca/santa.

Thanks for representing Stan, Jamie!
